Let's start the conversation on gender equality in Cayman.

About Gender Equality Cayman.

Gender Equality Cayman is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of greater gender equality in the workplace in the Cayman Islands. The underlying belief is that diversity, and gender equality in particular, are key metrics of highly productive, profitable and stable businesses.

Our mission is to develop, promote and distribute the tools that organizational leadership need to ensure equal opportunity at work.

Take The Gender Equality Cayman Pledge.

We want to help you bring your policies up to par and to create a culture of fairness. Because getting to gender equality isn’t just the right thing to do… it’s good for business.

We will create an environment in which people of all genders have equal opportunity to be hired, developed, promoted and fairly compensated. The management of our organization believes this is good business practice and makes sound commercial sense.

We will create an environment in which all genders are treated with equal respect, free from harassment, intimidation or discrimination.

We will establish and support a committee focused on gender equality matters, which makes recommendations to management to ensure that all policies and procedures are in line with international standards and best practice for gender diversity and inclusion.

We will support the advancement of gender equality in the Cayman Islands by responding with honesty and candour to gender equality related surveys and by encouraging our staff to respond.

We will draft, adopt and communicate to staff an Inclusion and Diversity Policy that has been reviewed by the Gender Equality Cayman committee for compliance with the Cayman Islands Gender Equality Law, other relevant local legislation and international best practice.

Gender equality is achieved when people are able to access and enjoy the same rewards, resources, and opportunities.
Do our workplaces need a revolution?

The Cayman Islands, along with many countries worldwide, has made significant progress towards gender equality in recent decades, particularly in education, health, and workforce participation. However, is the gender gap in the Cayman Islands workforce still prevalent?
